会期と内容
①展示：2月20日〜23日
草木と水が染めた布に古代文字が静かに現れる。色と祈りが重なる「染まることば」。
②オープニングパーティー（2/20）
展示のはじまりを、作家とともに迎える夜。
作品を鑑賞しながら、制作の話、素材の話、線の話を、作家本人と気軽に交わすひとときです。
※1ドリンク付き。お食事は当日カフェメニューからお楽しみいただけます。
③二人共演・特別講座【ことばを染める｜草木染めと墨刻のワークショップ】（2/23）
この特別講座では、アルミ媒染で鮮やかに染めた布の上に、鉄を用いて古代文字を書いていきます。
すると文字の部分だけが反応し、色の中から鈍色の文字が立ち現れる。
「染める」と「書く」が一つにつながり、布そのものが「ことば」になる瞬間を、ぜひご自身の手で味わってください。

Opening Party｜Special Joint Lecture (‘Dyeing Words’)
Created in collaboration between textile artist Hiroko Utsunomiya and ancient script artist Junko Hoshizawa, this event invites you to reflect on how color, material, and mark-making speak across time.
Dates & Highlights
①Exhibition: Feb 20–23
Ancient script settles softly onto cloth dyed by plants and water—where color and memory intertwine. An invitation to feel before seeking to understand.
② Opening Party (2/20)
An evening to welcome the beginning of the exhibition together with the artists.
While viewing the works, guests are invited to engage in informal conversation with the creators—about their process, their materials, and the lines that shape each piece.
Includes one drink. Food may be ordered separately from the cafe menu on the day.
③ Special Joint Lecture ‘Dyeing Words’ — A Workshop on Plant Dyeing and Ink Engraving (2/23)
In this special lecture, participants will write ancient characters using iron on cloth that has been vividly dyed with alum mordant.
Only the areas touched by iron will react, and from within the color, muted gray characters will quietly emerge.
Dyeing and writing become a single gesture, and the cloth itself transforms into language.
We invite you to experience this moment with your own hands.
